DRAWINGS

My drawing practice often involves recreating works by artists like Vermeer and Caravaggio. I do this not to copy but to learn. It is a chance to study how they handle light and dark, how they build form and depth, and how their techniques create mood and presence. Working from these masterpieces helps me strengthen my skills, experiment with different approaches, and understand the choices that make a drawing feel alive. It’s a hands-on way of learning that challenges me to see closely and think critically about every line, shadow, and highlight.
