LIFE WORK - Part1
My life drawing practice is rooted in classical realism, where the focus is on closely observing the figure and building form through careful layers of value and line. Some of the poses were developed over two weeks during my time studying in France. This process allowed me to slow down and refine subtle details like light, muscle structure, and edge softness. I worked mainly with 4B, 6B, and 8B pencils using the softer leads to gradually deepen shadows and give weight to the figure while keeping the lighter marks open and responsive. The process is patient and meditative, and each drawing becomes a record of time spent observing the light, shadow, and forms.
